WebJan 19, 2024 · 2011 X5 35i with 84k miles. I just pulled into my garage after a 20 mile highway drive and there is a loud, high pitched whining noise coming from my engine bay. I will investigate it more tomorrow but I am wondering if there are common issues anyone is aware of. It sounds like it could be a bearing somewhere that contact the serpentine belt.
