F mark front sight
WebJul 26, 2010 · Ok, guys, help me out please.... I can not find a reference in the usually books for a Type II (stamped) front sight with a single sans serf P mark on top behind the sight post. Its on a IBM about 7,000 into production (Sept 43). Anyone know about it? WB states Type I was used on very few early with Type II used for most of production. WebFront Sight Base FSB .625" Diameter. This sight base comes with taper pins and all internals for a front sight post and measures .625 inches in diameter for lightweight and pencil barrels. WebJan 10, 2024 · A current production AR15A4 would probably have an F-height FSB, but it just wouldn’t be marked as such. However I don’t know if Colt is even producing the A4 rifles now. So an A4 that you find, with no F mark is probably more likely to be an older rifle with an actual Non-F FSB vs a new rifle with an F-FSB that simply isn’t marked.
